Travelport and Roibek forge bonds to expand their online presence in the Kingdoms

Travelport and Roibek Travel have forged a partnership to a long-term agreement that will see Roibek use Travelport’s technology across their 55 branches in the entire Saudi Arabia’s travel industry.

This agreement would witness the growth of Riyadh-based travel agency deploy Travelport’s Universal API, the technology that backs internet bookings and unparalleled travel content to boost their online presence.

This point of sales solution would give Roibek access to air and other travel content and services aimed at maximising revenues for travel agents. Smartpoint, as the company calls it, would allow travel agents to sell not only air tickets but various other ancillary products and services of a particular airline in real time from over 400 of the world’s leading network and low-cost carriers.

Research shows that Saudi Arabia has the largest travelling population in the Middle East, with the young population making 4-5 trips a year, mostly within Gulf.
