We have launched a free APAC travel funding tracker for startups in Asia Pacific. As of 24 October 2026 it lists 59 rounds and USD 604M in disclosed funding since 1 January 2026, and every round links to its source.

The page is titled “APAC travel startup funding tracker 2026: every round, sourced” and answers one question: who raised what in Asia Pacific travel. It covers India, Southeast Asia, East Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and is free to browse, search and share.

APAC travel startup funding tracker: the numbers at launch

Seven of the 59 rounds were announced in the last 30 days. Fifty-four companies have a profile page. Nine disclosed Series A rounds in 2026 give a median of USD 4.4M. Of all rounds, 71% are verified.

Disclosed funding by region, counted by headquarters:

  • East Asia: USD 342M, 28 rounds
  • India: USD 182M, 19 rounds
  • Southeast Asia: USD 55.3M, 6 rounds
  • Oceania: USD 24.6M, 6 rounds

Disclosed funding by category, largest segments:

  • Alternative accommodation and rentals: USD 190M, 3 rounds
  • Hotel tech: USD 125M, 14 rounds
  • Payments and travel fintech: USD 66.2M, 3 rounds
  • Mobility and ground transport: USD 42.9M, 3 rounds
  • Insurance, visas and travel services: USD 37.8M, 3 rounds
  • AI and automation: USD 36.6M, 5 rounds
  • Tours, activities and experiences: USD 29.5M, 12 rounds

The spread is uneven. Alternative accommodation has the largest total from three rounds, while tours and experiences has twelve rounds adding up to less than USD 30M.

How the page works

The page has four charts: funding per month, by category, by APAC region, and stage mix by quarter. The charts follow the category, region, country, round and label filters, and the rounds table sorts by any column. Readers can search by company, investor or country, filter by date and amount, and view the latest round per company or all rounds. A copy-link button keeps a filtered view, so a search can be sent to a colleague.

Each company has a profile. Onto, a Bengaluru marketplace and OTA, shows a pre-seed round of USD 1.0M on 21 October 2026, led by Stargazer Fund and White Venture Capital. On its Onto profile page the round is marked Verified, with 8 sources, each showing a checked date.

How we build it

We build the rounds from company announcements, investor posts and the press, and check them every morning. Our method page explains the rules in full.

A round is verified when a primary source states it (the company, an investor, a company-issued release or a filing) or two independent outlets report it. Copies of one story count once. TravHQ’s own articles and data aggregators never count. Rows with one secondary source so far carry a badge. Unverified rounds of USD 50M or more stay off the page until verified.

Totals count disclosed amounts only. Dollar figures use the European Central Bank reference rate on the announcement date, through the Frankfurter service, with the original currency under the USD figure. When no source gives an amount, the row says undisclosed and we estimate nothing.

The tracker uses seventeen categories, from hotel tech to cruise and marine, and each company has one main category. The edition includes startups headquartered in Asia Pacific, plus those based elsewhere that operate mainly there or raised from investors there, shown as “Outside APAC, in scope”. Investors are listed as organisations. Individual angels are counted but never named. TravHQ writes the descriptions. The rest of the world follows in a later edition.

Corrections and submissions

Anyone can report a correction with a link to a public source. A wrong fact is fixed in place with a note on the row, and every change is logged. The change log currently reads “No changes to published rows yet.” Founders, investors and PR teams can also submit a round or a correction. An editor checks every submission against a public source first.

What it means for hotels, airlines and OTAs

For a hotel group, hotel tech funding shows where capital is going: fourteen rounds worth USD 125M. For an airline or OTA, payments, mobility and AI and automation show which vendors and partners have fresh money. The investor column shows who backs a competitor, and the date column shows how recently.

Every row has a source and a verification label, so a team can tell confirmed numbers from those resting on one outlet. That matters for a board paper or a vendor shortlist.

Key takeaway

Asia Pacific travel funding is concentrated in a few categories and markets, and the tracker shows it round by round. This quarter, hotel, airline and OTA leaders should filter it to the categories they buy from or compete with, and note any company that raised in the last 30 days. We also offer a weekly Asia Pacific funding digest by email through the TravHQ newsletter; browsing stays free.
